These small used car lots owned by an individual can be very risky place to buy a car. Although they try their best to buy trouble free cars, it would be very difficult to deal with them if something happens. Bigger companies have been known to resolve issues after the sale. If it is within reason, They work with you. It would be in your best interest to just pay the extra dollars and go with a bigger company.
As far as financing bad credit, it is actually tougher to get a car
loan through small dealerships. They work with the same banks big
dealerships do. The main difference is, banks tend to go the extra mile
when working with a bigger dealership. The reason for this is the more
deals a dealership sends to the bank the more slack they get. Get it?
If you have bad credit, Do not waste your time going to a regular dealership.
They will run your credit and it gets worse.

Many people do not understand when they get turned down after hearing
about these ads. The truth is that the car industry is one of the most
closely monitored business in the nation. They are not allowed to lie.
The are all true but they are conditional. If conditions
like,cosigners,more down,etc etc are met, then you will get approved. See? They are
not lying but the ads are deceptive. If you have bad credit, the bottom
line is you need money down or cosigner.
